That's not all. We can't decorate our caps because they want "it kept nice." We asked if we could decorate them and the only time we can is after we graduate. But what's the point to that if no one will see it? The cap and gown is something you and your parent or legal guardian paid for, not the school. It is one's intellectual property and you have the right to choose what to do to something that is on your head or body. I see no point in trying to fit in because you have the right to express yourself. I'm sure other schools do this too, but they pick their favorites and all of the underrated kids get the kind of torment I do. I feel bad for any of the kids that are underdogs like me. If you're in a club, a sport, a teacher's pet/child of a teacher or administration, or all of the above you're safe for the most part. When I have kids, I will be sure to avoid taking them to the new school they're currently constructing because I'm pretty sure that no matter how new the school will be, I'm sure that the attitudes from teachers and students will not be.
I went to altha from 1st-4th grd i was never bullied and the teachers, staff, and students as well were fantastic...I then moved to cottondale where I got bullied and I moved to altha this year and once again everyone in the school is magnificent!!! Not the best school to put your child in. The majority of teachers are very mean, as with some (but not all) students. I was snapped at for wanting to sign out because I'm 18. You can get senior privileges in which you can go off of school campus and get food or sit out in the front. Along with the form that you and a parent have to sign, you can also sign out with parental consent if you are 18 or older and if you have extra curriculum classes outside of school or if you get out of study hall. The seniors were out on their trip and I was excused because I couldn't go. I decided to get some work done throughout the week before their return, and I did so. I came in around nine thirty and left at high school lunch. My parent already knew I was going to sign out at the high school lunch, which is also okay to do along with the above stated. Apparently to the new lady in the office, it was wrong. I was put into the guidance counselor's office and they said "we need you to call your parent so it isn't staged" something along those lines. I felt humiliated and cried right as I got home. And then there was today. A math teacher snapped at me and only me for trying to finish work inside another class before I got to their class. There were three other students who were also in my situation, but they barely made it in time. I was not the only student who was getting their work done but it didn't get through to that teacher. When they were done talking at one point, I tried to explain that I wasn't the only one and I was trying to pass my other class. They went bonkers and said for me not to interrupt them. And kept frowning upon the fact that I missed only ten minutes of that class. They thought "I missed most of the class" and they "didn't notice me walking in." Right after the talk, I asked to go to the bathroom and in the bathroom, I had an anxiety attack and cried in a stall. It was hard holding back my sadness and anger to go get my stuff and head out for break. There were a couple of friends of mine who comforted me during this. I get blamed for things around the school and examples include what I recently experienced. It is very embarrassing to get frowned upon in front of your classmates and something like that is what can trigger my social anxiety.
Every Male student at the school dips copenhagen and the school is placed in a very bad area dont send your child to this school their are many other options in the area
